About Us
Crowe River Retreat began as a dream of family, connection, and creating a home away from home. We bought this cottage when our daughter was almost two to become a place where we could build memories, celebrate life, and share our love of a family cottage with other people.
Our journey to this little sanctuary wasn’t easy. I have a very serious medical condition, and starting a family came with many challenges and heartbreaks. We were finally blessed with a healthy pregnancy, but the delivery led to a series of serious medical issues that almost took my life when our daughter was just two weeks old. Those early days taught us to cherish every moment, embrace joy wherever we can find it, and create a future filled with meaning and family connection.
Knowing my health will decline over time, we wanted to invest in something that could offer both security and joy. We spent a year looking for the perfect place to escape, make memories, and, if needed, provide a safety net for our family. Crowe River Retreat has become that place: a sanctuary, a home, and a haven not just for us, but for other families seeking rest, connection, and a little slice of magic.
We spent a year renovating it from top to bottom, pouring our hearts into every detail, and making it a home that reflects who we are. From the cozy interiors to the little details that make a stay special, we love sharing it with others. We take joy in offering a space where mornings start with a coffee on the dock, afternoons are spent kayaking the river or fishing, evenings are spent around a fire sharing stories and cool nights are spent relaxing in the hot tub. We hope that every family who visits can create their own memories here and that Crowe River Retreat can be part of a lasting legacy of joy, connection, and the simple pleasures of life.
